Science 7 Carbon Cycle and Energy Assignment

Choose one of the following assignments to show your understanding of the carbon cycle and energy flow.

1. Pick one ecosystem or situation involving living things and write a poem that describes the flow of carbon and matter through the ecosystem.

2. Design a comic strip about the carbon cycle  and energy. The characters might be the sun, carbon atom, and any plants and animals you’d like to include

3. Write out a news report about a carbon atom that is traveling through both the carbon cycle and a food chain. Give details about its whereabouts, the processes it is moving through,  and what forms it is taking.

4. Create a full color poster showing the connections between the carbon cycle and a food chain. Label all key terms shown in the poster.
